did a bristle worm eat my clam?

I recently put a small gigas clam in my nano reef. I saw a bristle worm going into it last night. Today, the clam is just a shell. Was it the bristle worm? Or could something else done it, like an urchin? I have both a royal and a spiny in the same tank.

It may very well have been the worm, but if it was then the clam wasn't healthy anyway (even though it might have looked fine). Bristleworms find their food by smell, and if it doesn't smell dead or rotten they don't know it's there. It's not unusual for a clam to look perfectly fine and then be dead the next day either.

It was very little (about 2") and didn't look all that healthy when I got it (via overnight). So, maybe it was dying. Thanks for your response.
