I received this frag with several others at the NJ swap a few weeks ago. Things were looking great, strong polyp extenstion and color.
The only thing I can think of is this past week while I was visiting family out of town my ATO ran out of water which lead to a low water condition in my sump return area.
I was monitoring my APEX on Sunday morning when I noticed that my temperature was falling and started to fall around 8pm the night before. I called my friend to go over and check things out which he found that my probes were out of the water (sump return area).
This caused the Apex to call for heat, thank goodness I had the two heaters maxed at 82 degrees so my tank went from 78.7 to 82 I believe.
Doesnt seem like much but I do not know of anything else.
When I got home around 5pm I did a 10% water change and checked my levels:
Sal. 1.024
temp 79.1 (now)
NO3 not detectable
PO4 not detectable
NH3 0
cal 480
Alk/dkH 9
All of my other corals including an orange Monti Digi look good.
