Did I do this the right way?

Where's The Reef?
I have a 7-8" bids of paradise that had an accident, and lost some tissue right in the middle of the base, so the tissue kept receding a little each day, so I had to make a call and frag it into 4 Peices, but here is what I am wondering...I used the dremel tool from my race shop and used a cutting wheel to cut the frags away from the base.It cut right through it with no issues, made clean flat cuts.I immediately superglued the frags to a rock.It has been 3 hours now and the Frags are opened up, polyps fully extended. They look happy...

Was the dremel tool a bad idea?

Brand new out of the package.I really do hope I am successfull at this, Ive never had to frag an acro before. This was my biggest colony, I have had it for 4 months and watched it grow from a small coral.

Not at all, as long as the cutting wheel was clean. In the future, keep in mind that most branching SPS can be easily fragged, with a pair of side cutters.

You did a good job i typicaly like to cut my frags away from the receding area and then do a 15 min iodine dip before i glue. Over the years i have had great success with that method
