Did I mess up buying this light?

It should do just fine for softies only thing I don't think it has seperate reflectors for each t5 but if your just doing softies then that's not a problem it's just allways good to think ahead of time and say will I ever want anyhing that requires higher light at that point I would have gone with a 6 bulb fixture so u have more room to play just my 2 cents

Fine for softies and most LPS. SPS will do ok up top, especially montipora. I ran that exact light on a 65 for several years. Its a good, but not great light.

Nice fixture, but welcome to the world of bulb replacement!

lol yes change it every 8-12 months depends on how many hours its on a day. will vary on replacements.

but if you have individual reflectors its even better you'll have more lighting going in the tank.

well my in put to this is you should have got the
36" - 234 Watts - (3x39 Watt 10K Daylight + 3x39 Watt 460nm Actinic)
the bigger the better. sometimes some corals may require more and sometimes they
require less. you can always change the bulbs to meet your needs.
