Did my obta eat my clown?

I got a new anemone a few days ago, and it didn't seem real happy in my 29g tank. I decided to put it in my 90g and see if it did any better. When I got home last night, the lights were all ready off, so I can't say for sure, but the anemone looked really fat and happy for a change, and my very small maroon clown was not in its normal sleeping area! I looked all over, best that I could and could not locate him. I had to leave for work before the lights came on, so I just called my wife and she said that she still hasn't seen him. He normally is dancing for us at the front of the tank. Is it possible that the anemone ate him? Aren't they supposed to get along? Anybody else have this happen?
:(

He seemed happy and healthy as could be. It really only worries me because he is so small, maybe 3/4 of an inch, and was always sleeping in the same place, by the powerhead at the back of the tank. Now he is nowhere to be found and my wife says that the anemone looks much better.

It's unlikley but still possible. Maybe he got hurt in the PH and eaten by the nem. You might not want to blame the nem so quickly, there may be a large brittle or some other nasty in your tank that ate your fish.

Make sure you check the sump and overflow too! And the floor behind the tank. Hope not the last one.

The size of the clown you described is very small. It may have been been too young to have been sold. How long have you had the fish?

check the powerhead!

I second that...I lost my first one to a powerhead, little bugger was stuck to the back side of the intake and it took me forever to find him. They aren't the strongest of swimmers when they are that small.

I also lost a small clown to a powerhead. He just got sucked up and stuck to the intake. It took a while to figure out where he went.

I'm not going to say there no way that the nem ate him, But I'd be shocked to find that's what happened. I'd think something else got him.
