Hello,
I've had and adult ocellaris for about 2 years it just to have a mate that passed away about 6 months ago, so I thought I would add another mate.
This afternoon I added a small ocellaris to my 130gal DT.
When the small (1-1.5inch) was added to the tank it took about 1min for them to notice each other and then almost immediately the large adult ocellaris started shriveling next to the small one.
I believe this means they're mating and that the large adult ocellaris is being submissive , but isnt the small one suppossed to shrivel and be the male? Why is the larger one doing this?
Will they pair and become mates?
Thanks for the help...
