I almost grabbed it for my Maroon's, in my 210. However, wasn't sold on all the brown in the pedal & tentacles.

This was the one I wanted and didn't check out quick enough, from a week or so ago.

I wanted that one as well but my new tank build isn't wet yet. :p More beauties to come I'm sure!

I have pics from this morning but Flickr wasn't liking me, so I didn't upload them . Here's one from when I first got it...

The clowns are rather protective...

On a side note, the nem has a "spot" to the right of the mouth which is becoming more pronounced and not has tissue "lines" radiating from it, like the mouth to the left. The nem itself is also very wide, left to right, as opposed to circular. Tough to get a picture of... I'm hoping second mouth forming, and not something bad :)

I generally have my reservations when it comes to LA portraying the colors of their animals. However, after seeing your anemone Peter, much of my hesitation is alleviated. It looks to be a very attractive specimen.

The color was spot on. To be honest, I've never had an issue with LADD photos, except with clams. But clams are tricky.... you change angle, and you can go from blue to green in a snap, so, I get that.

Very nice Peter. That anemone is special. Best of luck with him.

Normally, when Magnifica divided, they do not form a second mouth, they just ripped apart to form 2 anemones. I hope it is just a minor problem and that he will be fine.

The mouth forms after the split? Strange....

What size tank is he in? What is the water circulation? and Lighting?

I had a Magnifica yellow like yours for a couple of years in my thirty, he went up to the front of the glass and parked himself grew to about 13 inches. The lighting was a 175 14 K metal halide, and for circulation I had a wave2K. They are fantastic animals and pretty darn hardy. Got tired of him and sold him for like $60.00. In fact when the guy came he was so happy with the way he looked he gave me a $100.00

I have seen Magnificas with two mouths, it was already healed when i got it. I suspect it was from a injury. When i an anemone has damage around the mouth is usually not good and it starts to get worse.

It's a 150g with 2 MP40's and two nanostreams. Two 250W 14K MH, plus some LED's.

I'm not stressing about the mark. Whatever it is it doesn't look like an injury, so for now I'll just leave it be.

I've had RBTA's split before. I guess I never really paid attention to the mouth. Thanks for the info!
