I'm considering the same thing, only with a halogen bulb and a pair of powder blue tangs.

Power Blue tangs need a little larger tank. maybe you could shimmy up one of the street lamp poles and grab that bulb for the tang.

nice tanks. I have thought about how to build a round, room size tank someday, but more like a donut. with all the equipment in the center hole . a complete walk around raceway tank. but perhaps only 3 feet deep. that kevin guys basement pool tank is great. and Al, please notice the two hippo tangs swimming with the other tangs in the first picture.

I wish i had a basement. with drains.

I've always liked this guys tank too. built into the wall of his split level, with the tank and equipment room out below in the garage.

I am a member of another forum where a member knows this guy. This guys lost almost his entire tank when his skimmer overflowed and dumped 200 gallons down his drain.

Ouch! that's an expensive plumbing design flaw. the corals looked perfect. one thing for sure, I would sure hate to see his electric bill!!
