They are A. Ocellaris... False Percula Clowns w/out white stripes. They are the same as regular Ocellaris in their behavior and husbandry. They came from CB stock. ORA bred them, not intentionally at first. These guys came from a pair that was picked out and paired up from ORA's growout tanks. They do get mis-barred Ocellaris as a small percentage of their production. Just for kicks at first. To see if they could get them to pair up. And then to see if they would spawn to see what they would produce. What they produced was very interesting. About 50% totally naked fish and 50% with varying amounts of white on them (from a spot-o-white on the cheek to full bars). Though the full bars are less than 1%. the fully nakeds were always with in 45-50% of each clutch. And they are interesting to look at. so, they started full production of them.
*(Content of the above paragraph - came from ORA)
We purchased these guys 1 1/2 years ago when ORA was limiting the LFS's to 1-2 max on each order. I think I paid $160 for the pair, They were very young, 6-8 months old and both were the same size. In time, the female grew faster and eventually paired.
They will eat out of my hand and they love to have their picture taken.
