difference between 2 pumps?

I have a wavebox and want to know the difference in the pump in it vs a 6200 stream?

The transformer, for all practical purposes it is a 6200 using a 6100 power supply. It cannot be used without its controller for this reason. It is a 60W pump using a 60W transformer instead of the 80W transformer of the 6200 and any debris or obstruction will raise the power consumption to the point where the trasnformer will overheat and fail. It works for the wavebox because with the on and off cycles it never achieves the full 60w draw and the mean draw is only 30W.

Ok, that prety much answered my next question is that it cannot be used as a stream. I can however use a 6200 Transformer with it to get more wave from it, correct?

If you either add the 6200.80 transformer or downsize to a 6100.70 drive unit it can be used as a stream. Adding a 6200.80 transformer will only boost the performance of a wavebox in the longest tanks where the pump has a longer run cycle. On a tank shorter than 6ft it is not worth doing. Really, unless your tank is 8ft plus the difference would not justify the expense, it would be less than a 1/4" gain.

Let me make sure i got this right roger...if i add the 6200.80 transformer to my pump from the wavebox, i could then use it as a stream? I would like that option if thats what u are saying. If that be the case i may take it off the wavebox controller and put it on my Neptune Aquasurf instead. Any issue there?
