Difference between black and white Percula and Ocellaris?

First off, the "Black and white percula" is an ocellaris. This being said the only difference between the two are these. The color and the availability. Wild caught black and white ocellaris are almost non-existent and if you do find one expect to pay $$$.

One thing to watch out for is A. polymus commonly mis-marked as B&W Percula!

Ok on most websites I saw black and white pecurla but on one I saw them listed as ocellaris. Thanks for clearing that up LD

IMO the black ocellaris from darwin, should be in there own class not ocellaris or percula. If you look a them they have a short dorsal like percula but have the same dorsal fin count as ocellaris.
its a new species IMO and should redescribed for new name.

Michael youÃ"šÃ‚´re very right!.Their "first"dorsal fin is low as in percula:eek1:
This could bring to three (or four) the number of forms in the ocellaris complex.
Were you the first to notice it?.Are ichtyologists aware of that?

nope never got around to telling anyone of inportance. I love your photo gallery. How are you feeding the centropyge larva? I may have some luck for you if your not having any.
