Difference between feeding frozen and non frozen

When it is said to feed mysis shrimp is it talking about non frozen mysis only or Frozen mysis ? Does it matter which is used? Can cubes be used?

Thanks in advance

I've always fed frozen cubes as well, whether it's Hikari, PE Mysis, etc. I've never tried the freeze dried stuff.

I was taught to always feed as close to live as possible. Given the choice hands downs I would feed frozen mysis. The freeze dried is often my choice over pellet or flake for my pet sitter to feed, but frozen often can be enriched and I like that feature daily basis. Yes, frozen needs to be defrosted and rinsed most of the time, but freeze dried need to be rehydrated and rinsed too, so you are not saving much time, if any. Good luck!

I pretty much only feed live black worms. All of my fish love them. I have frozen mysis but only feed it occasionally, and that's just to get it used up.

Frozen is a much better choice but you really need to rinse that stuff off first. The liquids on the outside are packed with nutrition that will only escape into the water, feeding algae rather than fish.
