Difference: Stream and Nanostream

What are the differences between the Turbelle stream and the Nanostream besides size and shape? Does the Nanostream have the whole ocean current simulation thing the Stream has?

The Stream has a broader flow and they are stronger, intended for tanks of 75 gallons and up. The Nano Streams are suitable for a maximum of a 120 gallon tank, the flow is narrower and much weaker they are for smaller tanks. The 6055 is controllable, like the 6000 and 6100, 6200 and 6300. The 6025 and 6045, like the 6060 and 6080 are not.

The 6080 cannot be controlled or used on a wavemaker, this pump is best suited to FOWLR tanks. Is this reef SPS mainly? Will you have any sand?

I might suggest a 6000 and this way when you get your bigger tank you can either upgrade it to a 6100 by getting the bigger power supply or add a second pump.

How do you get the bigger power supply?

Also, in this picture, what are the two things to the right of the powerhead?

The blue box (now silver) is the driver, the computer that runs the pump and you connect the controller to. The hockey puck is the transformer (power supply) the only difference between a 6000 and 6100 is the 6000 has an 11V transformer and the 6100 19V. You can buy the transformer on tunze.com or from Premium Aquatics or Reef Exotics or Aquarium Specialty.
