this tang getting more black in a year. is this a sign of something? why is like that?

Someone else here recently showed pics of their tang doing exactly the same thing, it became black all over except for the oval in the center of the black stripe.

Its kinda cool looking but something has to be causing it. I saw the other thread too. Does it seem to effect him in any way or does he act normal?
