Yes these problems should be fairly easy to correct and I do wish they were being addressed in a more timely manner. The pH resolution issue should have been resolved before it went up for general sale. That is a basic system function. I understand that the clock issue is (fairly) new. Even with my clock set my timers still act unpredictably. I have never gotten the timer for my Gyre to work. The username and password issue is a big deal to me. Have others had trouble with this? I see now that at least 2 people left it as defaults. I don't trust this as the controller is in charge of pumps inside my home, heaters in the tank, a caRx . . . I emailed DA about my continued timer issue on Friday but didn't hear back and now am stuck with this the way it is for the next week.

Are you on Software version is: 1.09.23? The latest I herd is there more features coming. I think Dave is the latest to talk with Eric. He may be more up to date on any specifics. They both were at MAX last weekend I think. I was not able to go this year.

SoloGarth,
Did you make it into Austin OK?

Still traveling. About to board in Chicago. Can you explain how the respect X times is supposed to work?

I have a timer that is set up to come on at 12 stay on for 4 hours and off for 1 with repeat 1x

It does the first 4 hour cycle fine but does not come on after the hour has elapsed. I tried to set up a second timer but he only seem to work 50% of the time. I wish they would turn on if the timer is made for a start time before the current time. It would make things a lot easier.

The repeat x times. I thought it worked the same as the RKE but Ken mentioned that you have to include the first time in the number. That is one I haven't tried. I will setup an unused output and see what happens.

The repeat timer I have setup for my Swabbie I used continue forever as I just wanted it to turn on for 1 minute every 4 hrs. I also have an alarm set to make sure it doesn't turn on if the skimmer is off.

OK, I set one up to come on at 7:15 stay on 1 min off for 2 mins repeat 4x. I will see how many time it comes on on the graph.

Ah. So if the repeat x times is set to 0 then it won't do anything? Haha this is exactly what I am talking about. I am proficient in C++ Java and VHDL. Things like this are something that should be fixed during debugging. It prevents that sort of counter intuitive interface. Oh well. That would make sense though as to why my timer doesn't work. The one stirring the Kalk Rx has worked without a problem but it has continue forever checked. Another not very well chosen parameter name.

I'm just not a fan of trying to figure this stuff out by trial and error.

Great thanks. Let me know. It is too hard to experiment due to my slow upload times when I am outside the house.

I have a Zeovite tumbler that I run for a few minutes several times a day. I found it was just easier setting up a timer for each one. You can do three timers on an output I think. They seem to run pretty reliable. It appears like you can set up a lot of timers but not sure how many you can assign to an output.

OK, it came on 4 times. I know they got a lot of grief about the way it was done on the RKE where it would run once and repeat x times. A lot of people complained it should on run how many times there was in repeat. I guess that is how they decided to have it work on the Archon.

Ok thanks. Well that answers that problem at least. I had been setting it to only repeat once because I only wanted it to repeat . . . Once. Haha.

One thing I would really like to see is more response from the Webserver and for it to check for out of bounds inputs. For instance if you tell it not to repeat ie repeat 0 times it should inform you that the timer will not work. And for things like setting up the mail setting it should pop up letting you know something has occurred.

Mike you can use up to three timers per output. I think if any one of the timers is active then the output is active. I haven't tested this yet to be sure.

Sorry it took me so long on the timers. So here is a timer that I created just for testing purposes. Just to see how the repeat works. As you can see it is set to repeat 5 times of a three minute on and 3 minutes off cycle. According to the ground this particular timer ran a total of 5 times. So if you want something to run one time you can leave it as repeat equals 0 or repeat equals 1. Either of these should cause the timer to run just one time. I have verified this.

So I have had 2 total failures in the past 3 days I have been gone. Yesterday the power went out and the archon shutdown and didn't come back up. I had my girlfriend unplug everything twice to get it to reset. When it did the non Archon input values were 20X higher than they should have been.

This morning it is shutdown again. I don't know for how long as I have received no notification. No one is there to reset it today. I imagine I may lose everything in my tank because of the Archon. Heaters don't work, caRx doesn't work, ect. I really wanted this to work but I am ready to throw in the towel. The controller is not reliable.
