no, i have done the reboot manually in all successful cases. Not sure why this is so difficult. It is certainly something that the developers can test and retest and retest. I am not the only one by the way.

I think you should make sure that the system reboots after the software is completed. Mine does this automatically every time and I have never had a hardware update issue.

I certainly would Lindsey if it would even update. So far on this one, it just comes back at version28. I have been a pretty loyal fan up to this point, but this is just getting stupid.

nope. If it doesn't update by tomorrow night, i will retire it and revert back to the basics. Pretty much over the aggravation.

Has anyone that is using an Apple Router got the Archon to connect. I can see where it is connected to the airport, but if I type in the name or the IP address, I continually get an error.

I'm using an Apple router. I set it up by going into the Airport utility and assigning the Archon MAC address to a fixed IP. I'll then type that IP into a browser to connect.
What error do you get?

A new one should be on it's way this week. I'm glad I still have my RKL to fall back on.
I really hope there are plans for some sort of update status indicator. The nebulous "wait 5-10 minutes before restarting" doesn't really work. I could have been 3 seconds or 3 minutes shy of the update completing (if that, indeed, is what bricked my unit).
I'm not giving up, though.

I bricked two but this time it won't even take the SW update so I guess I am safe.:deadhorse::headwally:
Guess I am supposed to be stuck at Version 1.09.28

Danny, not sure what you mean by telnet, but pressing the update button it goes through the motions but after a manual reboot, it still is at the old version.
