That's what I did. Set the screen to always on and then just plugged the charger in. I received a free tablet when we bought our iphone 6 and 6 plus. Never really had a use for it ........ but I do now! :)

Yea I like this idea of a tablet instead of a head unit.
Much easier to use to I would imagine.
For MY RKL I always end up plugin my laptop in because the head units are not the easiest to use.
I like mainly to look at the temp..
Might be smart they didn't release a head unit actually.

I would love to see a "STATS" page with info something like this (laid out on a 5x7 tablet)

I'll see if its at all possible for me to work something up like that.

For those charts in the middle, it actually might be easy to do. We have the logs available which will allow us to notice trends. Is it that you want the arrows to indicate if its down from the previous minute or something like that?

Yea I like that as a display. Would be nice if you could also turn outlets/channel on and off from the same page by maybe touching the item. Example I want to turn the skimmer off I just touch the skimmer on the screen. I want to turn main pump off for feeding I touch main pump. Maybe turn the lights on/off/auto..

If not maybe just swipe right or left to another screen where you can turn things on and off.

Ken - yes that was what I was meaning with the arrows. Always nice to know which way things are going, of course I know available on graphing, but this one be a one page shopping list that would fit on a tablet.

Shred5 - that was what I was hoping that the ON/OFF/AUTO could be a button push .

The off/auto/on is all available right there on the outputs page and on the index page based on what you specify. I do like the little charting and such. on the quick status's of the outputs there needs to be a way to specify what is shown there.

Ya, I get that, but was really replying to what a nice tablet specific page might entail. It would be nice if we were using the tablet as our control head and could walk up to tank and see all we wanted to see with out scrolling or enlarging or...
Just an input. As with all GUI, never will all be satisfied!! :)

Eric called me today and walked me through the clock fix. Looks to have fixed the issue. Now the only major outstanding item is the pH resolution. Looking forward to this tablet page. I think I will look into creating an android app for mine. Honestly though the Archon webpage works just fine on the tablet. I had wanted to get it to go full screen so I could have the homepage up in landscape mode. The Archon seems to work off of screen resolution only though so it is not possible to get the desktop version on the tablet as is.

Perform a network reset (hold down reset for >5 sec).

Enter the network setup page as you would normally.

Change the time zone (mine needed to be -4 UTC. I am on the east coast which would normally be -5 this is due to the DST being checked I think.)

Then on the systems page command line enter:
SynchronizeTime()
and hit send. It should come back with a warning. Reload the systems page. Your time should be synced. If it is off perform the reset again and adjust the time zone and synchronize the time again as above.

It hasn't been a full day yet but it seemed to reset the clock around 7pm each day and has not so far today. Seems to be fixed.

Ok. Thats what I did last night and clocks are perfect all day today. Lights worked as expected and now I am loving my controlled lumentek even more.

The 100th's digit has now been added to the input port data display, i.e. ph, ORP, temp. It is currently being tested by some of us and should be released in the next few days, I suspect. Ask and ye shall receive.

Glad to hear it! Is there really a 100ths digit on temp? I wouldn't have thought that the temp was that accurate.

When you set the ph value for a controller does it maintain the fills data? Currently it rounds to the tenth.

You will need at least one PC4, PB4 or PB8 for the system to work. I would suggest at least 2 PC4's if you go with them. The head unit only option is for those of us who already have the RKL or RKE system and want to upgrade.

If you are using PC4's only, you need to definitely use the 9v power supply. The PB4 and PB8 are supposedly providing enough power over the bus to properly support the needs of the Archon head unit. The PC4's, even combined, is not.

So you guys think in a few weeks that this thing will be stable enough to use and most of the bugs worked out?

The pc4 for did not produce enough amperage for the rcon to work properly. However the PB 4 and the pb8 do provide enough amperage for the Archon. That said running the 9 volt power supply will not hurt at all.

I think the Archon is plenty stable now. The software items being worked on now are more a matter of increasing the feature set. There is one issue I know of regarding the time of day, but that has a fix already.
