Hi, I want to buy a digital cam in the price range of 200$ 300$, to taje pictures of my tank and for genar use, any advise? of brand and model?

Thank´s kilroy, but i was hoping to more specific advise, like this bran this model or this other one, I live in Veezuela and i don´t even know wath a DSLR is. Plase if any one can just give a brand and model in that range of price that will work fine

You need to be more specific with what you need. Do you want a point and shoot, or one with interchangeable lenses. Do you want to buy used in that price range or new? Is quality of picture your biggest concern or size and look of the camera? Do you need something with large amount of megapixels to print large pictures or just something to post pictures online?

hi jedininja, I´m looking for somentign new, no to worried about the size of the picture, i need it to post on line wen I sell frags, the siz and look of the cam is nor a concern either. So quality of the picture and price will be the most important issues. I think point and shoot will be less expensive than interchangeable lenses sistem.

Well I'm a Canon guy, so I would recommend the best Canon Powershot SX series you could afford. If you add some more money, the Canon Powershot G series is awesome.

jedininja i just got an power shot G11 shuld be in Caracas on sunday, i think it will be a little complex to use for my current knwoledge but looks like an awsome camera.

You'll be happy with the G11. If it looks a little complicated, started in automatic mode. After that, you can learn more about all of the G11 manual options.

Do you know any web or link were states the basic about the g11 or taking aquarium pictures ?
