Dimmable T5 Setup

I'm receiving a Profilux 2 x 54 Watt Dimmable Ballast and a Profilux Dimming Interface in a trade with someone that never used them and had a few questions about the installation.

If I am already using both L1/2 and L3/4 then I would need the Dimmable Ballast Control Blank correct?

Any thoughts as to where I should place the dimming interface? There just seems to be a large number of exposed parts.
My thought was to buy a small plastic box and enclose it.

Any tips or tricks to wiring this up?

If you are already using the L ports up then you will need to purchase PLM-4L this gives you a further 2 1-10 Volt lines. this card is fitted to an expansion slot. Or purchase th EX upgrade kit, which comes with L5L6, redox port, salinity port, and level leakage detection port, still leaving your expansion sockets free.

As for mounting, any suitable hard palstic box will do.

I keep my EVG card inside my light fixiture. When you going to wire this card make sure this card have constant power .

Thanks for the information!

The LBF-AP (Dimmable Ballast Control Blank) was listed with ballasts at aquariumspecialty... what does it do?

This is the basic interface betwen the ballast and the Profilux but it does not allow for zero volt AC switching which switches all power off to the lamps at zero volts, the EVG card does do this

Ahh, ok, thanks. That alone is worth it then.

I was going to change out my bulbs in the next few weeks.... now I just have to decide on a good two bulb combo to use with it.

Mike, what are you using?

Right now I have:
UVL Super Actinic
Blue Plus
Aquablue
UVL Aquasun
3000k
Blue Plus

I think I'll go with:
2 Blue Plus
2 Aquablue Specials
2 Pro Color

I'll think set up the pro colors on the dimmable ballast based on some photos I've seen this morning.
