Dino, cyano or just normal newbie stuff?

Dino's, cyano or just normal new tank ugly algae? The back glass had some pretty nasty brown stuff growing on it but it has cleared up a lot and my snails are eating the heck out of it.

All tested using API params been solid for 2 months. Even skipped a water change this week thinking to starve the brown crap of trace supplements.

Doesn't look like cyano. Brown from what I can tell, likely some Dino. Probably a phase but you'll want to do something to try to eliminate it. Are you running a skimmer? Reduce the white light intensity and length of white photo period, this helped me.

Yup been wet skimming and changing filter socks everyday for about a week. The filter socks come out brown and a little stinky. I'm thinking some sort of newbie phase too as my back glass has cleaned up considerably but I was unsure about the stuff on the rocks that is brown slimy and has a few air bubbles at the end but the stuff on the rocks is not quite as much as what's on the sand.

Likely a phase, just keep on top of it (water changes, aggressive skimming, filter changes).

you can also try to blow off the rocks with a turkey baster just prior to and vacuum the sand bed during water changes (vacuum half at a time).

IMO, it does not look like Dinos. Looks like the usually stuff in a new tank.
