Dino

I think I have dinoflagellates. I thought it was diaroms as the tank is only 2 months old but I think it's dino. I know I need to put it under a microscope to know for sure. I have a fighting conch that just grubs this stuff down and doesn't seem to be affected at this point. I usually just blew it off with a turkey baster just because it's ugly.

Is there dino that's not toxic?

Is it look like long stringy snot? Does it have bubbles in the stringy part? You could have a mix of diatoms and cyano or hair algae.

It doesn't look like snot and I haven't left it undisturbed for long enough for it to grow stringy. I do 20% weekly water changes and clean the sand bed. I do notice bubbles though, which is why I'm leaning more towards dino than the other and especially since my conch and turbos eat it up like candy I would imagine it's not cyano.
