Dinos are destroying my tanks.

I'm having an extremely hard time with dinos and they're overrunning my tank. it has not been long only a week or two but they are making me want to just liquidate these setups and start over.

Its all over my 80g and now covering my 28g. It grows so quickly even after sucking it out theirs no difference.

nitrate-2
phos- .015

right now its not as visible because i've been trying to remove it.

Every surface is basically coated in it. It has already been killing my birds of paradise which I don't care about but I've been making sure to remove it from my higher end sps.

Thank you for this link. I feel like dinos are just bulletproof. I've dealt with cyano fairly easily but this literally spread into my 28g through a water change. I was trying to seed the tank with mature tank water. Live and learn I guess.

What I gather from the post is that there's nothing to stop them. Hahahaha.

I tried everything to get rid of mine and this was what worked for me. I got some dinos from a pod shipment when my tank was only a couple months old and dealt with them for about a month. I tried big water changes, lights out, chemiclean, nothing worked. My Lfs told me to stop doing water changes. I thought it was crazy but this is why it worked. Dinos feed off of your trace elements you replenish with water changes. The object of this is to let them deplete whatever is feeding them. I went almost 6 weeks before I noticed them receeding. Once it was all gone for about a week I did a 10% water change every day for about a week to slowly normalize the tank as my alk and cal was low and nitrates were around 25ppm. Yeah I lost a couple frags but it was finally over. I restocked a few frags then started getting cyano. Once I cleared my cyano up the tank has been great for the last few months. Good luck with the battle!
