I have a Diodogorgia that looks just like yours EXCEPT i dont have the 'white hair' extensions. Otherwise the color is the same.

How do I know if the coral is still alive?

Yes, I shot the videos with a Nikon D90 using a Sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lens. No post production done on those videos, everything came straight from the camera
