dipping A. Turaki?

I've read that smooth skin acros don't respond well to dipping. I dip with revive as per the bottle's instructions. I'm not equiped with a QT so this is a preventative dip I normally do. Anyone has experience with dipping Turakis? Tips or pointers will be appreciated

I dipped my Turaki as well as other smooth-skinned or deepwater acros and have seen no adverse results from it. I also use Revive. But that's just me, I'm no expert -

I'm not sure about the linking policy on RC, but if you Google "Treating for AEFW with ReVive", you'll find an article that says this, "Three of my favorite “deep water” corals did not respond well to the treatment. A. simplex, A. turaki, and A. rambleri were extremely sensitive to the dip. A. rambleri has recovered and now looks as it did pre-dip, however the Turaki and Simplex are just about lost. The tissue did not slough off like Rapid Tissue Necrosis (RTN) but faded away slowly. Now just a few tips are alive and well, but I fear they may not make it through the week. We will see. After this experience I would advise shorter less potent dips for these “deep water” Acroporas. Unfortunately their soft skin also makes them prone to AEFW attacks."
