dipping mushrooms

does anyone dip their mushrooms in Revive? Dont wanna risk them melting

I have plenty of times without issue. Have also dipped them in iodine and bayer. Most mushrooms are pretty hardy.

got some corals from Cornbread and those you that are familiar with him knows his prices are not cheap so I just want to be safe.

yep I have dipped a cpl diff mushrooms in Revive and it works fine. I have heard API melafix is great for mushrooms as well but havent tried it yet.

I dipped my jawbreakers in revive when I got them. Did just fine.
What did you get from Cornbred? I have a lot of corals from him but no mushrooms. JP

So far my ultimate dip is bayer and melafix. Just melts AEFW's and zoa nudi's. Haven't tried it on monti nudi's yet(thankfully).

I bought a flamethrower mushroom and fire shroom. There might be a bounce in there as well. Oh cant forget my jungle love acan

82nd, what ratio are you mixing your bayer? i use it as well but every where i see the ratio varies greatly.

Ratio, we don't use no stinking ratios! No seriously I just pour some in either my styro cups or a Rubbermaid shoebox with tank water or if there is enough water from the coral I use that. I have gone way over the ratios and only had negative effects on thin branched thin skinned deepwater acros like the red dragon and Hawkins. I dip everything else this way with no issues.

I dip shrooms, euphyllia, etc (things that will usually only have planaria) in RO/DI and slap em in the tank.

Not sure if I want to just dip them in ro or the revive.....if I could ever figure out how to use my Canon I would take pics for ya'll.

Neither should hurt anything, When I use revive on new frags that there arent any apparent extras on I just dip in revive for 5min while swirling or mixing the dip.

Interested in trying the Melafix/Bayer combo though, curious to what ratios work for people around here.

I use revive and dip for 15 minutes while moving the water around. Never a problem for mushrooms. Some of the smooth across cannot take that though. JP
