Dipping

Yeah, I got the right one from Caesars and used it to dip. It has tank treatment and dip instructions on the back. I think I linked the FW version. My bad.

Everything seems fine. I didn't notice any pests after/during the dip. I setup a 1 gallon tub with melafix and a one gallon tub with just tank water. I did about 5-10 min in the melafix, and shook the corals pretty vigorously in it.

The order was from Mr Coral, which many of you know has a somewhat dubious reputation. I ordered 13 frags 18 days ago and asked him to hold them until now, which he did. I asked this because in the past he has had a rep for shipping right after cutting. As expected, the SPS are mostly about the size of a bugger (1/2"). The acans and zoas are decent size. I got some freebie LPS that I can't identify. Looks like a hammer or frogspawn with a hugely long skeleton. Not too sure until it opens up. All-in-all, everything looks healthy and most of it has its primary color still. The SPS had some pretty good polyp extension earlier.

I kinda like getting a bunch of small frags and watching them grow, but if I ever order from this vendor again, I'll mostly avoid the SPS and stick with the acans. I've ordered from him once before and the zoas are hit and miss, the SPS are generally small, but I find the acans to be a pretty good deal, all told. The size of the SPS from Caesars is a much better deal, but I think Mr C sometimes has some nice color combos that I don't often see. Just have to be patient for them to grow.

Thanks for all the help. I promised the kids Chuck-E-Cheese tonight, so I didn't have time to take pictures today. Between the tour tomorrow and the meeting Sunday, I probably won't get to it until next week. I have to admit, I never knew a salad could make you feel so sick. Bravo, Chuck-E. Bravo.
