Disappointed with Marine Depot

During this past year I have placed several orders with MD having an overall good experience, except for the overcharging of shipping charges since I live in Puerto Rico and don't have the free shipping option. As an example, on my last order I was overcharged $15.06 from an actual shipping charge of $22.50, almost doubled the shipping charge. I haven't complained about this earlier because I have always received a quality product in a timely manner.

But yesterday, I placed an order of over $1000 to take advantage of the 10% off promotion and basically save the cost of shipping. One of the items is on backorder and since I don't live on mainland US Marine Depot indicated that I'll have to wait until all items are on stock for the order to ship. This is not stated in their shipping policy and I think that with the $128 I paid for shipping Marine Depot can make two shipments; one to mail the products that are on stock now and another when the backorder item arrives. Besides I have being overcharged with shipping for a while now. They offered me to break the order in two, but I'll end up paying for more shipping charges.

I was planning on setting some of the stuff to be ready for when the backordered item arrived. Now I'll have to wait for all the things to arrive to start setting things up.

I just wanted to vent-off since I got frustrated because I expected to be treated justly.

Wow!!!! I take back the being disappointed part. Got a call from Walter (MD) in less than an hour after posting this and it was taken care off. I recieved an upgrade for the backordered item to get the shipment going and a free item that I wanted to add to my order. I'm really grateful for taking the extra steps in resolving this issues. Thanks.
