Disappointed

I am disappointed with your company and service. I ordered 3 tunze wavemakers. Your company made a mistake on the price, which happens. I spoke with a representative about adding to my order and he told me the tunze price was a mistake but since my order was placed they will honor the price.

I was told the order was already placed with the manufacturer and will arrive next week. I then called about a missing item on my order and the women told me that I will not be recieving the order. When I told her what was told to me about the honoring of the price I was told I was lying.

I will be closing my marine depot account and will be sharing my experience around the web. Including the BBB and bizrate which logos you display on your page. It's not the mistake in price which is a big deal. It is the wishy washy answers and calling me a liar which is.

Will you be placing an order for 3 Tunze pumps with someone else, or did you only want the 'obvious mistake deal'?

It's was not an obvious mistake. Once I get my refund I will be ordering 2 tunzes. The 3rd was ordered jus because of the sale. I already have 1 tunze and a controller for it so I am obligated to tunze.

I am not the only one that was told this. Check out the other thread.

" Same here. They said they will be honoring the price on all that were ordered at the "ridiculous" price as they put it."

I agree with Marrone, this is disappointing that a company like this will not honor the price that was listed. this was not the consumers fault

But any consumer with knowledge of tunze knows it was a mistake. If a cashier gives you back change for a $20 when you only paid with a $10 I tell them and correct the mistake, not try to benefit from others' misfortune

This and what happened is two diffrent situations. If you go to buy a xbox and gamestop has a sign xbox sale $150. Are you going to go to the employee and say that is to good of a sale let me give you $250.

Don't forget they said they will honor that price after it was brought to their attention. They are also calling their customers liars. It goes beyond a simple mistake.

I didnt realize it was a mistake until I called to add more to my order.

Disappointment is warranted.

Righteous indignation is not.

They made a mistake. They do not wish to honor the posted price, which you know was unreasonably low. Get over it.

How did you not realize it was a mistake? You actually thought they were $15? Seriously?

A company like what? Only 'that' kind of company has to 'pay' for their mistakes?
Don't be surprised that you're not getting a $2-300 pump for $15...Get over it...

Someone posted this deal on my local fourm. I ended up ordering 1. I didn't recieve any cancelation notice and it still says it will ship Someone on my local fourm called and Marine Depot said that they will fullfill the order. Did anyone else speak to them or recieve any communication

Marine depot has a good reputation and I will be shocked and a little annoyed if they cancelled the orders.

Anyone else hear from them

Hopefully they will come on and tell us if the are honoring the sale or not. No matter what they decide a response will be nice.

Dear Reef Central Members,

First and foremost, we would like to thank you all for shopping with us and we apologize for the typographical error.

The $15 sale price of the Tunze Turbelle NanoStream 6095 Controllable Pump on our site was indeed an error, as several RC members suggested. Our intention was to lower the price by 15%.

To make things right for those that ordered, we would like to offer you one of the following options:

  • If you would still like to purchase the Tunze 6095, we have authorization from Tunze to offer you a 25% discount, which would bring the price down to $205.49 per pump.
  • If you do not want 25% off each Tunze 6095, we will credit your Marine Depot account with $15 you may apply to any item(s) you desire. Just write "apply store credit" in your order notes during checkout or ask the team member you speak with over the phone to apply your credit next time you place an order.

We feel terrible about our mistake. Our team members will be contacting each of you to ask how you'd like to proceed from here.

They did cancel my order and refund the money, but i got an email stating that if i still want to purchase those Tunzes, they are authorized to give 25% off, or if i want anything else they will apply $15 credit to order. Honestly it was their error on pricing as they stated in email, but i don't hold a grudge for not getting those at this price. At least MD is trying to rectify the issue by offering a good discount, which i will use buying those Tunzes.
