disaster at my house

Let's hope this all works out so you can keep your stuff Roy. If not and you just have to let everything go why do you have to sell the tank?? If it's for the room to move around I'll store it here for you or maybe rent it from you until your ready to go at it again, this way you don't have to lose it.

P.S. I have 2 extra ballast and socks that with your help we could set up. You can have them Roy.

I have a pc 4X65 retro kit you can borrow. I also have 2 mh socket/reflectors. Some misc. timers.

Yes. Alcohol displaces the water and COMPLETELY dries out the components. This is why the Dr. advises to put a few drops in your ear after swimming if your prone to swimmers ear infection. Just use rubbing alcohol from the drug store. you could spray in on the guts of the ballast and then blow it dry with compressed air or even a hair dryer, but put it on low or air only.

Shouldn't take too long. Once the alcohol is dried, its dry! Did the ballasts get really soaked with saltwater or just splashed or what? I know this mst really suck for you, I'm really sorry to hear it!

I just realized your phone is out. (Read the WHOLE thread right?)
let me know If you need or want help. I'll be glad to try to clean up the ballasts and get 'em working.

They should have an internal breaker that resets after they're turned off and back on so just make sure they are dry.

Thanks everyone I'm thinking this is going to be a long night .I would say yes to anyone coming over except besides this happing I was a real *** today and the misses is really upset with me right now .So I'm having to do this all through here .
