Disc-like algae

I have this algae growth in my tank. I have tried looking for it but have found no info. I find it quite unique to look at but am concerned if it is a nuisance algae or acceptable to allow to flourish.

Try looking up Padina. It's a slightly calcified brown algae. I've never heard of anyone with an epidemic of it. It's just an incidental and cool algae, so I'd leave it be.
