Discolored polyps.

Hey All,
I have started to notice that some of my Zoa polyps are starting to discolor. Some have been this way for months and I has seen a few new ones start to discolor. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas what could be causing this.

Water params all seem good.
Nitrate = 10
Nitrite = 0
Phos = 0
Amm = 0
Calc = 440
DKh = 9

Thanks,
Jerms

Those just look like a different variety of polyp all together. there was likely a stray polyp in the colony that is just spreading

^ Definitely not discoloring. Look at the polyp size and pattern those are different from your radioactive dragon eye zoanthid colony all together.

Awesome, well thank you all for the help.
IMO they are taking away from the RDEs beauty would you think about removing them or just let them go?

Yep, different polyps.

I would just let them be part of the beauty.
The only reason I would remove the polyps would be if the ones they are touching are closing. Yours look happy and healthy, so...
Unless you don't like them at all.

Nice pictures!

Grandis.
