Hi I was wondering if anyone had any information on Discosoma I'm in the process of buying a tank that seems to be over run with the stuff it covers all the rocks except for one which has some zoanthids, any help would be great.

I guess the question is do you want a tank with a lot of mushrooms? If so buy it. If you don't want them they could be hard to get rid of.

So I haven't moved it yet , when I do move it I guess it would be a good time to get rid of the mushrooms? What's the procedure for doing that? Scrub the rocks with a brush or what . I do think they look kindof cool there's just to many of them anyone ever been successfully reducing the amount of mushrooms in there tank? Does anything eat them ?

I wouldn't consider Discosoma invasive and do not see a need for aggressive measures. Why not trade in or sell your rock covered mushrooms. I am sure you would get twice as much back instead of destroying coral life.

I would like to see pics if possible.
