Disease Disinfecting?

I recently lost my Swallowtail Angel to Ich and now I'm breaking down my quarantine tank. I completely drained the tank and filter and washed them out with vinegar. I dried the entire tank and will allow to sit empty for a couple of days before adding water from my main tank to help cycle it again. Does this process sound like it would be sufficient enough to kill the disease?

Thanks for your help,

As far as I know, drying the tank and all equipment well for several days should be enough, and scrubbing doesn't hurt.

Do you intend to use the QT and its filter medium again soon? If you can wait, ich will die off on its own if fishless for about eight weeks, if the water is quite warm.

I am using a Marineland Magnum 350 canister & bio wheels filter system. I am replacing all medium (including new bio wheels) and flushed all the lines with vinegar. I will let everything dry for a several days and then refill with water from main tank so it will cycle very fast. I want to get a new fish in a couple of weeks.

Thanks,
