recently i had an disease outbreak and i remove all the fishes.i dont know wheather is it a bacteria or fungus type so how long must i leave the tank empty??

Sorry but we cant help unless u provide more details.

what size tank
what filtration
what fish
what does the disease look like
what behaviors are the fish showing
etc.........

I think you first have to figure out what the disease is. If it is bacteria or fungus, this is usually caused by poor water quality, and cured by better filtration, skimming and larger water changes. If it is ick (oodinium) then you're dealing with copper treatments and this is when you need to keep your tank fallow. I would read on fish diseased on wetwebmedia.com and don't do anything before you know exactly what you have and what you're gonna do for it, because I can tell you from experience that there is a fine line between treating you fish with copper and poisoning them. Good luck.

it started will the angelfish down with white cotton like growth on body and fins.then the eyes also became infested with white like growth fully covered the whole eye and fish scratching on hard surface.

a few day later i lost the fish and then a few more.since then i emptied the tank.

Sounds like you got a good case of marine velvet. I don't know the scientific name though.
