Diseased foxface

So my buddy was getting rid of his saltwater tank setup, which for me was a sigh of relief, because he took horrid care of his fish.

Long story short I decided to take his foxface of his hands, and he just looks horrible, I feel so bad for it.

I'm pretty sure he has ich, and to me he seems discolored, is he not suppose to be bright yellow?


Is there anything I can do?

since no one has answered you as of yet i will try to give you a bump to the top. the little that i know you shoud quarenteen the fish and soak his food in a garlic suppliment and selcon to boost his immunity .then probably treat with copper in a qt tank . hope this helps.

foxfaces when sleeping or scared will have a blotched camoflauge pattern. And foxfaces are notoriously hardy, usually being the last fish to succumb to parasites. A good choice for the beginner aquarist, as they grow fast and eat almost anything.

Correct...They change color like that when stressed or sleeping.
