We added a scopas tang to our tank about a week ago. We had a smaller tank and transferred to a 65 gallon tank about 2 months ago. Weve had our tank entirely for about 3 years. The tang has developed small brown spots on both sides that look almost indented. He hasnt been eating much.. originally he at the brine shrimp we put in and we also have algae strips in the tank and hasnt seemed to eat those at all either. We have been using kent marine ammonia detox and purple up in the tank. There are two other fish in the tank.. a clarki clown and a dusky jawfish, both of which seem to be doing fine. However we did buy a scooter dragonette two days ago and when we woke up this morning he was dead.. were unsure as to if that is related at all to the tang or not and we arent sure as to why he died as well. Anything would help.. were really unsure as t owhat the scopas tang might have or if theres something wrong with the tank because everytime we test it everything is normal. We do regular water changes as well.
