Dispar anthias or zebbra dart fish

Zebra barred dart fish are a little boring, go with the anthias, but I am not sure if 4 is the right number. What type of anthias are you looking at?

I was thinking Dispar Anthias seems like a good choice. Have you the zebra dart fish before? I have heard the little to hang out at the very top of the tank.

Yes I have had zebra dart fish before and that is exactly what they do. They barely move and they are almost at the top of the water surface all day long.

The dispar are nice and a good size for your tank IMO, if you want 4, make sure you get one male and the rest female.

I haven't kept a lot of anthias, so hopefully someone else will chime in and confirm that is the route you should take

I would get all females so that they can figure out who is to be male on their own. Getting a male you could run into the issue of one of the females being more dominant that him then have them fighting. Getting females will help avoid any major fighting, noting there wine minor squabbles will happen as the females work it out.

I have a single zebra barred dartfish in my sps dom mixed 125. He never swims at the surface. In Fact he has dug an intricate tunnel system under my rockwork and darts in and out at the base of the rocks but always pops his head out under his main cave. Once there he acts a lot like a jawfish and sticks his head out looking for food to float by. He will occasionally come out and swim around but never strays far from his main rock.

Such I big difference in behavior. I wonder why? The only reason I was considering the dart fish was because I want to utilize all of the tank and there are few fish that swim just under the surface.
