Distance Dosing pumps can pump?

I really want to get one of the slave dosing pumps to do AWC's, however I am concerned whether the pumps will push and pull the water the distances I need. Basically, there is approximately 50 feet distance between and tank/sump, and the barrels where I make the fresh salt water.

Since my Profilux is next to the tank, it would seem to make sense to have the dosing unit there as well. In this option, one dosing pump would need to be able to pull water out of the tank, push though the pump, then push to my drain which would be about 3 feet down vertically, 50 feet horizontally, and then 2 feet back up vertically to the drain inlet. The second pump (and this is the one that worries me more) would need to pull from a 55 gal storage barrel the same 50 feet, with a 2 "“ 3 foot vertical at the end to go thru the pump and into the sump. Since that line will be going into the barrel near the bottom, and the barrel will be full or close to full most of the time, there should be good gravitational pressure on that side.

Total vertical distance "“ 3 ft up, 3 ft down, total horizontal distance about 50 ft. So"¦Will these pumps push and pull those distances?

So you would recommend check valves on each line? Will one on each line be enough? Finally, where in the layout would you position them?
