Dive Locations

"Best" means different things to different people. What sort of diving do you like? Shipwrecks? Walls? Drift? Lava tubes? Caves? SPS reefs? I personnally love exploring wrecks and caves.

Then I believe you probably want to go somewhere in the South Pacific. But since I have not been to that area I will defer to others to make a suggestion.

The key is not only to find a good region, but to find a good dive site where clumsy or careless divers have not had to chance to kick and break all the delicate corals. Frankly, whenever I find pristine sites I keep them a secret in order to preserve the fragile ecosystem. Often they are beyond the reach of recreational divers, which acts as a good "filter".

Wall diving is the best!!! Aside from our most famous,... we have loads of other walls here! I go and do a wall dive every sunday!!!

If you want to dive in asia why not consider going to the philippines.
You could go to Malapascua in Cebu, Tubataha reef of Palawan island or Anilao in Batangas. Happy Diving!

Cannibal Rock in Komodo National Marine Park is far and away the most densely popolutated site with coral I have ever seen. Well worth the ticket to get there. Diving was with Peter Hughes on the Komodo Dancer, leaving out of Bali.

Best diving. For critters, Indonesia, for colors, Fiji, for walls Grand Cayman and the Maldives. Best diving almost always is found on liveaboards. Once you have done the South Pacific, going back to the Caribbean is difficult.

From everything I have read, Micronesia is supposed to be one of the better spots in the world.

In my limited experience, Turks and Caicos was great, especially with walls.

I saw a Manta and many reef sharks down in T & C. Apparently, there are also many dolphins and the occasional humpback whale.

You'll see cool critters anywhere. Just take your time and look ;) Can't really think of anywhere I've dove that hasn't been enjoyable and full of neat things to see :)

Yes I have... its great! Definitely one I suggest if you only get to pass by the island once in a blue moon.

I also suggest the North Wall,... NorthWest Point Drop off, La Mesa, the LCM Nicholson, Devil's Grotto, Killer Pufferfish, Orange Canyon, Little Tunnels, Big Tunnels and Lonestar Ledges.

Those are some of my Fav's off Seven Mile Beach and the West... the North Wall is off the North side... obviously!

Little Cayman, our sister island, also has some phenominal dive sites... I have only seen pics so far but am planning a dive trip out there next year!
