We have been caring for some incredible fish in the last few months at our Aquaculture Coral Facility in Rhinelander Wisconsin.

Some of these super rare and show size fish have been listed in the Diver's Den® section for several months, and all of the fish listed are quarantined and conditioned, waiting for the transition into your aquarium.

To make room here at our facility for new and exciting species, I have been authorized to cut prices on some of the best fish we care for starting today March 5th. Hybrid Zebrasoma tangs at half price, ORA retired breeding pairs of clowns, Centropyge fisheri x C. resplendent Hybrids, Balistes punctatus trigger (the third fish of this species I have ever seen in person in the 20 years of working in the fish biz), just to name a few. There are plenty more fish on sale so please visit:

DevilBoy,
Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis wrasse are a deepwater species from the Marshall Islands, and are very difficult to acquire. We try and grab them whenever they are available. I do have three of them now that are on the schedule for photography Thursday March 8th. These fish will be posted on the Diver's Den® section of the site that day.

Happy Reefing :D

Thanks for the quick reply. i will be looking for them.

Will they be ok in my tank. I have 50# marshall and 50# Kaelini rock. My lighting is 2x250w 10k Aqualine Buschke bulbs, with 2x54w T5HO Geisemann Actinic Plus.

Will this be too bright for them?

i would also like to add, do these fish experince any type of collection issues, such as decompression problems, or cyanide?

DevilBoy,

As long as you have a four foot tank or larger with a good canopy or lid (they like to jump) you should be fine. I have a harem of them in my 120 gallon Acropora tank in my office which is lit by 2- 400's 20K and 2- 250's 20K and they don’t mind a bit. Please make sure there are some overhangs and caves for them to get away from each other and out of the light sometimes, and you shouldn’t have a problem. Thank you and take care.

Kevin

DevilBoy,

There are only net collectors in the Marshalls so there would be no chance of Cyanide exposure. For deepwater species in the Marshalls, to the best of my knowledge, there is only one collector for these fish who has been diving deep for years, and is very experienced. It is rare to see swim bladder problems associated with this species of fish from improper decompression.

Kevin,

The Rhomboids that you will be placing in the divers den, are they male or females, and approx size ?

Thanks

DevilBoy,

The Rhomboidalis wrasse that will be activated on the site Thursday are all 2-1/2" to 3" in length and appear to all be sub-dominant males with nice vivid blue coloration developing on their heads. The majority of Cirrhilabrus rhomboidalis collected for the aquarium trade are young males or super males, as it's very difficult to find small (2") juveniles or females.

Wrasse of the Genus Cirrhilabrus are dimorphic hermaphrodites and have the ability to change sex from female to male. Dr. Hiroyuki Tanaka, a well respected expert in the field of Labridae has even reported fish in his aquariums changing back from male to female when maintained in groups.

Thank you again,
Sincerely,

DeltecRules,

We do have some sub-dominant male Cirrhilabrus lineatus (around 3") and male Cirrhilabrus laboutei (around 3") wrasse that we have been holding for a few weeks and these fish are on the photography schedule for Friday March 9th.

Happy Reefing :)

Yea, I bought some of those fish that you cut on price. Waiting for some more unique angels. The smaller the better so I can train them to eat and not eat my corals. ;) Your guys daily selection has been very nice! Keep them coming and I will keep on looking/buying!
