Diver's Den has the most amazing RBTA

if i spot feed an anem. would i need a clown fish? I would like to have a anem. but i also want seahorses and am concerened that a clown would pick on them.

From what little I know of seahorses, an anemone would sting the seahorses when they try to hitch to it. :/ Others that know more may chime in, or you'd probably get better answers in the seahorse and pipefish forum.

wow thats alot!! not that i dident spend almost as much on mine *grins* I must say though... LA's pictures are very impressive but in reality the colors just arent the same in real life.

Maybe if you completely replicate there lighting. but i donno. Ill get some new pics of mine up soon. its really unique. I still havent seen another that has two-toned tenicles plus a different colored tip.

Well the GBTA I got from them in January was close to the Diver's Den picture upon arrival, not anywhere near as bright electric green under sunlight as it was in their picture but still nice. It's growing like crazy but the color isn't nearly as good now in spite of getting the same care as my BTAs that are retaining or even improving on their color. :( I think the GBTA was wild collected and is taking a long time to acclimate to captive life, is probably the reason. All my other 'nems are captive clones and had already done their "time" in transition many generations before I got them as clones.

i added myself to their update list, so next time....ITS MINE!

Better be fast, trust me, the good stuff goes in minutes. The updates usually hit my email between 5:30pm and 6:30pm. If I'm at the computer when the email arrives, I can go see the stuff within minutes. Usually nice stuff like that RBTA are sold within ten minutes or less.

But when you do get one, put me on the list for a clone. ;)

sonja...i see you are local to me, do you ever attend any of the frag trades at downunder in garner? they have one coming up next month on the 21st i believe.

We've met, I bought some LR from you when you broke down the tank in your old house. We were also trying to figure out how to move the big tank when you had it for sale but never could work it out. I haven't been to any of the DU swaps yet, always seems to be other stuff come up those days and it's about an hour away for us. I just put the April 21 on our calendar so we can try to keep that afternoon open and make it to that one.

wow..i met you? i guess i had about a million people in my house that weekend to remember everyone..lol...in any event i hope you were happy with what i sold ya and hope to see ya at the next frag swap...im off to check LA for updates..lol

That is an amazing RBTA. Wow. I wonder who bought it?

Yeah, I wonder, too. They probably won't say though even if they're reading this because they know they'll have stalkers showing up at their door. :D

i donno. out of all those btas like the one 1 bought, no one here bought one, and there were at least 12 or so. really suprised me at the time. but i suppose theres an awful lot of reefers out there :)

That's true. There were two other green BTA's the day I bought mine, all three went within ten minutes and I haven't seen any of the others show up here.

Sorry I bought your bta! It's doing well though; the shipping wasn't too hard on it. The disc of the anemone is very dark and it has an interesting colored yellow/green foot.

Ah ha! :)

Well it wasn't mine any ways, as I said I'm broke LOL.

Please keep posting pictures, I'm sure I'm not the only one that wants to know how it does. :)

looks fantastic i need one just like it that is fantastic and totally worth what you spent IMO
thanks for sharing

The picture is fairly color accurate. It has more red then one of my larger btas which is a more fluorescent pink/orange:

I took the pictures with my oldschool canon elph sd100, settings macro, white balance "cloudy day," and a lower shutter speed. I believe in these shots my 20k's were off and only the 10k was on.

Fantastic RBTA. I've always watched closely at LA's diver's den and seen many gorgeous anems on there. Always wondered if the pictures really matched the actual specimen.

Besides yours, which is as beautiful as the LA picture showed, has anyone else ordered one of their diver's den anems and had it look as nice as their pics?

The GBTA I got from them in January was close. The thread with pictures are here:

It's not as bright now, it's having a long hard acclimation to captive life. It's growing and healthy but it's not as green. :( Hoping it will get the color back when it's acclimated, it's getting the same care as my other bta's and the rest are all thriving.
