Has anyone gotten a single or pair of these from Diver's Den lately? They claim that they are already weaned onto Ova and Enriched Brine Shrimp, so I have been tempted to try one out in my 90 gallon mixed reef. I would love to here of anyone's experiences with this fish. Thanks!

I've had a pair from DD for six months and they're doing great. They took frozen ova within 24 hours of going into my quarantine tank and now they eat a broad range of frozen and prepared foods.

If you're going to try this, I would strongly advise a QT period to get them settled and eating before you put them in your display tank.

What kind of corals do you have? Mine have destroyed some corals in my tank. I would be worried about any bushy SPS or LPS. When I released them from the acclimation box in my DT, they made a beeline for anything with polyps, including my leathers and all my SPS. They killed two small colonies of SPS, but now pretty much leave everything alone. I do not have LPS in my tank but others have reported them being eaten by their spotted files.

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your quick reply! I am most worried about my bushy red planet, but have lots of other SPS that I would not want to lose. I wonder if it would be possible to cover the corals with an empty strawberry container or something until the OSFF were settled in the display after QT?

Well, they only sampled all the coral the few minutes after they were released. Then they decided they loved my new millie colony. That's what they ate. They sleep in a couple of bigger colonies of branchy SPS that they don't otherwise seem to bother.
