Divers Den Photos?

Not really a fish question... but who takes your divers den photos? They always look so good. What camera are they using? Lens? Is the rock in the background photoshoped? I cant imagine the fish are put into tanks full of live rock. They'd be so hard to get out.

:D

Fishybiz,

Thank you for your post. We have a professional photographer who is employed by the Aquaculture Coral & Marine Life Facility to take photographs of the aquatic life we offer in our Diver’s Den. For fish photographs, we currently use a Nikon D80 with a Nikon 60mm macro lens. The rock in the background is fiberglass rock that looks very realistic, and is comparable to natural Tonga branch, slab, and Lalo rock that is completely covered in several different colors of coralline algae.

Sincerely,

At their frag swap I didn't even notice the rock was fake until I noticed a piece swaying with the current, it's very realistic looking.
