Please stopping using pictures of species you don't have for the catagories. You don't have a CBS pair but yet you use a picture of a pair. Then I go there to look and I'm disappointed you don't have it. Please use pictures of items you have for sale. I know your probably doing it to get me to look, but it's becoming deceptive and annoying.

Thank you for your post. The pictures we use for thumbnail photos are maintained regularly and are taken of specimens offered in that category. It is important to understand as items are sold, they are removed from the site. The thumbnail photos can represent items that are either not activated yet or are already purchased. Specimen photos change as we update the Divers Den section of our site.

I will say, I bought a fish from Diver's Den and it was exactly like the photo. If you check it regularly (at least once a day - yes I'm addicted) you will see the photos change often as specimen's are bought and come in.

Lee

Ok cause EVERYTIME I check it that item is never there and I check often too. Stop buying everything Ihoy!!! =)

Thank you everyone for your support and understanding. In a week or so Kevin Kohen will announce and detail a $500,000.00 addition to our Wisconsin Coral and Fish facility. This expansion will more than double our selection of acclimated fish and coral--- all directly from Kevin and Steve's care. I will leave the rest of the details for Kevin to announce.
I promise that the 2007 Coral Conference and Frag Swap will be like none other.
I would like to personally thank all of my customers for making this possible. You guys are the best.

It is amazing how fast some stuff gets bought from the Diver's Den. Have to be quick on some stuff.

Lee

Agreed. I wish you guys would implement an email notification when something changes. I know I would subscribe.

The Diver's Den items are updated as acclimated inventory becomes available. The process is therefore ongoing and never completed. The fish and corals sold on the Diver's Den are generally the more rare and one of a kind specimens. These fish and corals oftentimes are not listed by the distributors or wholesalers on their stock status brochures and are purchased for a premium price when Kevin can find them. He is in California as we speak to meet with several vendors to secure a quality supply.

The days are over when we are merely a drop shipper. In fact the majority of the more rare specimens are now housed in our Wisconsin facility and are cared for by Kevin and Steve before being offered to the aquarist. This model allows us to buy the best quality livestock from a whole host of vendors. Once purchased we will acclimate and evaluate specimens prior to offering them for sale. We will offer a premium price to any vendor for their top quality fish and corals. If any vendors read this and have the rare and unusual, please contact Kevin for a COD transaction. He may pay top dollar and then some for your best fish and coral.
In any event, I apologize for the seemingly revolving inventory on the Diver's Den. We are listening to and exploring all options to better offer these rare fish and corals . Kevin is hard at work to find a continued supply without sacrificing quality.
Kevin, Steve and I greatly enjoy this hobby and appreciate all of your input. Please rest assured that we are listening.

Automated? I answered on a Sunday evening at 10:06 from my home.

Please attend the 2007 Conference at DrsFosterSmith.com in Rhinelander , Wisconsin and personally tour of the entire facility.
That way you can see things first hand.

Now we can end the thread.

Thank you ------- Race Foster, D.V.M.

Kevin Kohen will detail the new Wisconsin facility over the next few months. We plan to have it completed prior to the June, 2007 Fish and Coral Conference.
We have just completed phase two which is the expansion of our marine fish holding facility--- in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
Phase three is just beginning and will more than double our coral capacity ( to around 100,000 frags ) and double again our fish capacity which will be hundreds and hundreds of rare fish.
Our whole plan is several fold. We want to have an increased holding capacity for fish and corals so as to broaden our selection and have space for a lengthy acclimation,--- prior to sale. We will still do some dropshipping but mainly of the more common and easily cared for species. Fragged corals are and will be grown for months prior to offering them for sale. We do not agree with the chop shop mentality of fragging corals and selling them immediately. Similarly, the turning and burning of unacclimated fish is a bad practice that should be discouraged. The solution is for facilities such as ours to have adequate space for a long acclimation period. Our practices will be open for public scrutiny at the 2007 Conference. There will be no secrets. We expect over 600 attendees.
Lastly, the increased capacity allows us to purchase the cream of the crop fish and corals from a multitude of vendors, therefore allowing increased diversity and supply. Kevin has developed a large network of livestock suppliers of which we purchase only the legal and top quality fish and coral. He will pay any quality vendor a premium for such fish and corals and we need the housing capacity for these rare gems.
Kind of a long winded answer but as you can see, we are proud of our Wisconsin facility. Kevin Kohen will detail more in upcoming newsletters.

Thank you, Race Foster Liveaquaria.com

I think that Liveaquaria has gone above and beyond with the Diver's Den as it is. How many other online vendors update as frequently? Why do we need an automated email notification? If the picture is gone, the fish/coral is gone? If it is there, you can buy it. Check it frequently if you are interested. I love to just look and peruse the pictures.

I am amazed that Mr. Foster posts here and responds so quickly to us. Don't forget that they sell all kinds of pet supplies in addition to saltwater livestock. I for one am very appreciative that they make special stuff available with pictures. My only dissapointment is a lack of more tanks to buy more!!

Thanks to LiveAquaria from one VERY satisfied customer.

Lee

What I'm trying to say is when they change the thumbnail for the catagory send out an email like they do for fish notfications

MimicTang,
The Divers Den section of the LiveAquaria.com web site is updated every day between the hours of 2:00-5:00 CST Monday through Friday. When the thumbnails change, we start to activate all of the fish, corals, and inverts, one by one, that will be available for purchase that day. We always try and select the most unique and colorful image for the thumbnails, and normally these species sell very quickly on the site.

We strive to provide our customers with the best aquatic life available all backed by our Arrive Alive, Stay Alive®, Risk-Free Guarantee. It is our goal to make every customers shopping experience enjoyable.

Thank you for your suggestion on the email notification alert. We do have plans in the works to have an email notification system in place so that our customers can sign up to be notified when the new species are added to the site.

Happy Reefing,
Kevin Kohen
