Divided Leopard Wrasse

Hello, I recently bought a Divided Leopard Wrasse on Saturday of last week and when I put him in the tank he swam around for about 5 minutes then he burrowed into the sand and I have not seen him since. Is there a chance he might still make it or is he probably dead?

yes he is just getting used to your tank.Dont worry yet that is what they do.

Alrighty sounds good I will just leave him be. About how long should I expect him to remain hidden?

Mine hid for 3 days when first added , then was out all day after that . Last Sat we added actinic lighting to the tank and she went under again . If I do not see her today this will be day 5 , but I am not worried yet , I have a feeling she will show face soon . If it was healthy to begin with , it will be out as soon as it feels comfortable .

I had one that disappeared for over two weeks before I saw her. I was sure she was gone, but she came out and started eating, became the center piece of the tank.

i have a green wrasse that i only saw once. Since then he's been MIA think he's dead ? It's been over 2 weeks since i saw him.

lol oddly enough I was showing my friend a picture of it online last night and he made his first appearance right as I pulled up the website.
