Okay experts, I used to have the exact fish in pic number 2 (Black eyes with 2 horizontal white bars). I could never find it in a fish book. What is it called?

Off one of those mooring balls? If so, I might have met that lionfish a few months back. The guy I was diving with had a spear for them, but it was too quick and figured out what he was up to.

ChuckDallas, that is a cardinalfish. The area I dove was marked with Mooring Bouys in a straight line not far off the beach. It's a ledge that runs a few hundred yards. Lots of Staghorn colonies there and some of the biggest I've ever seen.
