So you changed from the original reef breeders when you started the build. Figured you ended up switching by looks of the tank.

Yes, I never actually used the Reefbreeders fixture. I sold it brand new before I set up the tank. I started out using two Radion G3 XR15 Pros, but after about a year or so I wasn't getting the acro growth I wanted. My options were spend about $1500 switching to a pair of XR30 Pros, or sell my XR15s and use the money to buy a new ATI 8-Bulb Dimmable. I ended up doing the later. Best decision I've made yet for my tank!

I don't know too much about those LED fixtures so can't really comment on them. Where do you want to go, acro tank, mixed tank? If mostly acro, you want high light. How many bulbs just depends on your depth front to back. Generally for heavy acro, you want one bulb for each 3" of depth.

You want to be a little careful adding too much light to a mixed tank. In my case, I can only keep LPS and Zoas on the bottom. If I try to raise them up at all they get roasted.

Great to know, I noticed you have some pretty high light colonies towards the mid to bottom too.

Ok, this thread has been neglected long enough! If anyone local to the SF Bay Area is interested in frags, shoot me a PM. I usually have frags of most of my corals.
