DIY Auto Top off kit - Premium

Ahh..just like radio shack. Ok. I will have to resort to getting it online. I buy 3 foot sections for 22-14 gauge and cut to need. Those small packs work ok for the odd job that requires little, but when I am wiring bikes I use more and those little packs get expensive for their price.

That's quite a bit cheaper than RatShack.

I got lucky... I bought 48 feet (yes, FEET) of 3/8" heatshrink off of eBay for like $15 shipped about 3 or 4 years ago. :D

You can find some really good deals on heatshrink on eBay. I was lucky and that is the size I need the most (for guitar and pro audio cables).

yeah, Andy, it's similar packs to Radio Shack, but more, and cheaper. It is the shorter lengths than for big wiring jobs, but still plenty more than I need for most everything I do.

Brandon, how much of the 48' have you used? haha, that's cool. My dad was an aircraft electrician for a long time, he used to bring home 10-15' sections of heatshrink for various things all the time.

Oh, one thing I meant to put in here a while back that I plan to do to my topoff (and the second one, once I get it). On one side of the power supply that connects to the relay, I plan on putting a switch between the relay holder and the power supply, mounted in on side of the box. This will allow me to shut off the ATO when I'm doing maintenance, water changes, etc, instead of unplugging it.
