What material did you use?

Hey sorry for the late reply. I actually used two 4'x8' 3/4" melamine and super glued magnets to it. After cutting the pieces, I used an iron on melamine edge cover to hide the sides.

Exactly what I was going to do with the melamine. Thats a good idea with the magnets! Makes me want a metal stand now.

It's not too late to get a steel stand built if you haven't started your wood one yet.

Here's my version of the elos style stand. The stand is made of 4x4 and 2x4, and the panels are MDF with 5 coats of oil base paint.

Yep. Bought everything from Home Depot. Then I watched some videos on YouTube on how to apply melamine edging. It's real easy and looks really professional once the edges are ironed on.

I just used a trim/finish roller to paint. Just make sure you used oil base primer and paint. Also lightly sand down between coats.

Melamine should be a lot easier and faster to do. Only reason why I didn't used melamine was because I didn't like the texture finish.
