DIY Faceplate for American DJ 4-switch power center...

I have one of these here:

And I got the brilliant Idea to build a new face plate for it. It would be a little bigger, and I wanted to mount my RKL to it. It would also serve as a beauty board to cover all of my wiring. Insert amazing MS paint art here:

Cutting the steel would be the easy part. i have access to machining tools. How do I do the lettering? I was thinking a local print screening shop would be able to do this.

Has anyone made anything like this? I would like to see your ideas!

Nice idea. Will would look super clean. You can always go to any of those vinyl or car wrap sticker companies instead of having it screen printed.

Its something I've been wanting to make for a while, but just haven't got around to it.

I have all of my electronics in a 'dry' cabinet in my stand. the wiring is a mess. I was going to try to clean up the wiring a bit this weekend, and make a template for the face plate. The design isn't finalized, but that's the general idea of what I wish to do.

As I said, my wiring is a little cluttered. Would be great to hide all of this with a flush mounted plate.

The frame of my stand is built with 1x4 pine, all joints sealed with calk, sprayed some flex seal over it just for a little extra, and them painted with an epoxy paint. I wanted to be assured that my electronics would be safe if the event of a catastrophic tank failure.

Also... I need to make doors!!!

I'm a fan of making the custom panels for sure.

I race remote control off road cars. I get all my bodies custom painted but some people use custom decal wraps. You could give them a call and tell them what you're looking to do. Here's one company many use:

Also before racing remote cars I raced off road motocross. I used custom wraps on my mx bike. MAybe you can gice them a call or email also.

Just about any sign joint can make you a vinyl lettering. Application could be easy by the sheet/colors you want. Screen printing wouldn't be cost effective I'd think.
